Friday Photo #5

Hailing from the land down-under this time… I took this photo while in the outback. We went out at night time to an area with no lights and the sky was just amazing. I’d never seen so many stars in my life and managed to get this awesome photo! I haven’t had to alter this in any way… the sky was actually that cool! The light you see on the trees is coming from the headlights of my...

Charleville: Day 5

This was the last full day we had in Charleville so we decided to go a bit further afield. We all took a trip to a waterhole that was around 150km west from Charleville to go fishing. The drive there was OK. It was around 130km of one road and then 24km of a dirt track. There was a hell of a lot of wildlife on the way – kangaroos, lizards, emus, goats, cows, pigs and huge birds that I can’t remember the name of. The air-con in the 4×4...

Charleville: Day 4

As expected in the outback it was another sunny day today. With it being a sunny day the ‘roos were more likely to be out and so me and Tom decided to go on a mini safari! The ‘roos here weren’t as tame as the other ones we’ve found and so they kept hopping off whenever we got...

Charleville: Day 3

Day 3 was another sunny day – the weather said it wouldn’t be that nice so the sun being out was a nice surprise! We didn’t do too much in the morning but in the afternoon we took another trip out in to the bush with the 4×4. We’d found a track the day before so we explored a little more inwards and made the most of it. We ended up in the same place as last time, took some more photos and then I had the genius idea of attaching the...

Charleville: Day 2

The second day of being here was pretty awesome. Tom and I went out to try and find some more kangaroos but ended up taking a bit of a detour. We found an off-road track so we put the Pajero in to 4×4 mode and went for it. The track was pure red dirt and surrounded by trees where you just knew you were in the outback. The odd kangaroo would skip alongside us but we didn’t stop to get pictures of them. We reached the end of the track...
